Alex Motorsports Civic EK9 Spoiler Brackets – Product Spotlight

February 16, 2010 by Bernard in Alex Motorsports

The spoiler brackets from Alex Motorsports is a great addition to any Civic EK hatchback. It allows the spoiler to be angled in 3 different positions, allowing the user to dial in additional rear downforce. Also, we really like how it adds a bit of style to the stock Type R spoiler.

We just recently received a large shipment, but stock is moving fast. A set of brackets retails for $155 (USD) and can be purchased from our website at For more information on Alex Racing and their products, please visit

Nostalgia – ASM/GT Works D1GP S2000

February 10, 2010 by Bernard in ASM

ASM is well known for their feats in the time attack arena, but there aren’t many people that remember that ASM also produced an S2000 for the D1GP competition.  The driver was Gen Terasaki, who is best known for driving the Autobacs Secohan Market AE86.  So naturally, it would only be fitting that an ASM equipped S2000 be his next weapon of choice.

The ASM/GT Works S2000 has extensive suspension modifications and went through 2 different motor setups (supercharged F20C, and then later swtiched to a F20C that was modified to 2.2L  and mated to a turbo).  The car was campaigned from 2006 to 2008, and even though Terasaki-san never achieved a podium finishes, the fact that they were able to build a S2000 with such a high-caliber level of drifting is an achievement in itself.

ASM GT Series Reinforcement Bar Production, Manufacturered by Succeed Sports

February 3, 2010 by Aaron in ASM

I had a chance to see what goes into production of an ASM GT Tower Bar and I just wanted to share what goes into production of one. The topic of price often comes up but it hard to truly understand the reason behind it without some information.

All ASM GT Series Reinforcement Bars are hand-made in Japan by Succeed Sports. Succeed Sports is led by Ichikawa-San who is the chief engineer of the record setting ASM Tsukuba Special Time Attack Car. He was also a race engineer at Mugen before the M-Tec transition and was involved with JGTC projects such as the Mugen Takata Dome NSX. Each GT Front Tower Bar is hand made by a master craftsman at Succeed Sports from high grade stainless steel from Japan. All the torched colors and marks have been left naturally by the process of hand bending by torch or welding by hand. They’re not simply color treated for show. The entire manufacturing process of each bar takes 4 hours so only 2 can be produced per day. Many ASM GT series bars hold design patents to protect their innovative designs.

Welcome To The Go Tuning Unlimited Blog!

February 1, 2010 by Aaron in Announcements

After months of development and years of procrastination we’re proud to launch the Go Tuning Unlimited Blog! We’re a little late in the blog game but better late than never. Our blog will be an outlet to publish all the stories, pictures, and data we’ve been collecting over the years at Go Tuning Unlimited. We’ll also be commenting on current events in the tuning industry, motorsports, and the world in general. As the overseas distributor for ASM and a direct distributor for many JDM tuner brands, we’ll also be sharing insight from visiting and working closely with these companies. Whatever flows through the doors and computers of Go Tuning Unlimited will trickle its way into this blog. Enjoy!
