The new ASM GT-10 Front Bumper for the New Year. Happy 2011!
The final production version of the new Recaro ASM Limited Side and Back Protectors will feature a black & white stitched ASM logo and a stealth black Recaro logo below. The Recaro logo is a nice touch to emphasize that these items are manufactured by Recaro specifically for ASM.
Coming soon to Go Tuning Unlimited…
ASM has redesigned the Recaro Seat Side Protectors and Seat Back Protectors to better match their new Ruby seats. Would also be a nice addition to any Recaro ASM Limited seat.
After only been released for 3 weeks in Japan, the Recaro ASM Limited Ruby seats have been very popular for ASM’s Japanese customers. The Ruby seats still only account for a small portion of the ASM’s Recaro seat sales which consists of the entire Recaro line, it is a large amount considering the massive number of seats ASM sells as Japan’s largest Recaro dealer. ASM Limited Ruby seats can only purchased in-store at ASM Japan or locally at Go Tuning Unlimited USA. No dealer or shipping options are available for the ASM Limited Ruby line.

A great highlight reel showcasing this year’s F1 championship. This has been such a long and eventful season some of these moments seem like they’re from past years.
The goal of this year was not achieved with an official time of 1’1″585, only .02 seconds faster than last year. The car was 27kg lighter than last year, has slightly more power, and has more front downforce but Hiroki Kato noted that the tires were not gripping very well. The 1’1″585 time was actually achieved using used tires from the Fuji test and not the new shaved tires. With the new shaved RE-11 tires, the car wasn’t even able to go under a time of 1’3″00. Possibly with inconsistencies in the tires or a manufacturing problem, they did not perform as well as expected even with the use of shaved tires.
The final test before Time Attack was to re-confirm results from the Fuji test for the canards, gurney flaps, and hood vents. Due to rain conditions during Fuji test, certain tests were inconclusive for they were performed once again at Tsukuba. Due to inconsistencies in the tires and lack of grip, the fastest lap was 1′01″583.
ASM is preparing for this year’s RevSpeed Tsukuba Time Attack with a few improvements to the car from last year in hopes of getting closer to the 1 minute mark in the NA Open class with street tires. The most significant addition is the GT-10 I.S. Design Front Aero Bumper and GT-10 I.S. Design Aero Bonnet produced in Carbon MR. The new front aero is designed to provide additional downforce and reduce front end weight. Recent additions from the Fuji test are the addition of an additional side canard and a redesigned front fender vent for additional downforce improvements. Most importantly, the same Bridgestone RE-11 tires will be used this time in shaved form for more efficient performance and alignment was checked. Modifications to the wheel well have also solved the problem of the the front tires contacting the frame under full suspension compression. The carbon propeller shaft and lightweight single layer carbon hard top has been transplanted from the Tsukuba Special Car No.2 for further weight savings. The use of titanium bolts and hardware has been used throughout to further reduce overall weight. As a result of these and other weight saving modifications throughout the year, Car No.1 weighs in at 1061 kg (2339 lbs), 27 kg (59 lbs) lighter than last year and produces 303 hp with the recently over-hauled TODA motor.
