Prodrive Japan just released a video they made featuring the ASM S2000 from Tsukuba Time Attack 2010.
We now have the Recaro ASM Limited Ruby Seats IN STOCK! These are exclusive only to ASM Japan and Go Tuning Unlimited and not sold anywhere else in the world. This means that the seats must be installed at either ASM Japan or Go Tuning Unlimited’s facilities and are not available for shipping or wholesale customers. The ASM Limited Ruby seats feature the Recaro Japan’s signature mesh fabric in the center which is durable, comfortable and very breathable for good temperature regulation. As with all ASM Limited seats, these feature the Red double stitching along the edges. Alcanatara is also used for the outer sections of the seat for enhanced grip and lined with EDEL red perforated leather for comfort where the seat may come in contact with your skin. The seats now feature a metallic silver Recaro logo with the same stitching color lining the ASM logo in the center of the seat.
Our first set of RS-G & SR-7 seats went into our customers track prepped 2006 S2000 using Recaro Japan seat rails for the driver’s side and Bride rails for the passenger side because Recaro Japan doesn’t offer seat rails for USDM AP2-200 models. The SR-7 ASM Limited Ruby passenger seat is a nice complement to the RS-G ASM Limited Ruby driver’s seat.
ASM has also teamed up with Recaro Japan to produce ASM Limited II side protectors that make a great addition to any Recaro bucket seat.
In addition to the popular Personal steering wheels we’ve been carrying for a while now, we’ve added the lineup of MOMO Steering Wheels. MOMO wheels are a great alternative for those that want close to an OEM feel because they are factory equipment on many Honda Type-R models and the Honda OEM horn buttons can work with them. As with Personal wheels, MOMO wheels are hand made in Italy and have a great motorsports heritage. They offer a wide selection of styles and sizes to suit all preferences. The Prototipo model shown above is a great wheel to maintain the OEM 350mm diameter while adding to the feel and style of the interior. It is a very popular with ASM in Japan and is used on many of their cars.
The Monte Carlo and Tuner wheels are great for those who are looking for a smaller diameter wheel for quicker response and more road feedback. Both are only available in leather with one respective stitch and in 320mm or 350mm sizes.
For a race and high grip feel, the MOD.78 is part of MOMO’s racing line and features a suede grip and a 330mm diameter. This wheel is also available in standard leather and 350mm sizes.
An ASM Racing Steering Boss is the ultimate complement to any of the MOMO wheels for a fixed attachment while WorksBell hubs and quick releases are the way to go for a detachable configuration.
We have just received the new Recaro ASM Limited II Seat Side Protectors along with an inventory replenishment of the old ASM Limited and standard Recaro versions.
We’ve seen this sort of display before for production cars but it’s very cool to see it done to an F1 car. There are 3,200 parts individually hung for display at the Mercedes-Benz World F1 Exhibition in England. It’s just like F1 to do something so ridiculous, just because they can.
I was literally speaking mid-sentence and chatting with some of our suppliers in Japan while the earthquake struck and I’m happy to report that all our friends and family are OK over there. Unfortunately there are hundred and thousands of others who weren’t as lucky. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those in Japan.
